Cobalt & Black

I love cobalt & black as much as I love cobalt & white. It's a great color combo. I wore this outfit two ways. One with peeped-toe booties and one with sandals.

My favorite piece to this outfit is my pineapple ring! Isn't is cute? Pineapples seem to be a continuous trend these days. I love adding a bit of color with this ring and my staple Kendra Scott Rayne necklace.

Color Blocking for Spring

Remember when color blocking was super in about two years ago? Well I'm still not over it. I love mixing magenta/orange during the spring time. The colors just pop and it's so bright and festive with the warm temperature.

Other colors I love mixing: blue/green, blue/orange, yellow/blue. Below is a photo (courtesy of google.com) from an old Gucci runway show and the other image below is from style.com. Trends change all the time, but you can still mix old trends with new trends.

My top is actually from J Crew Factory and comes in cobalt and neon yellow (so in right now). The pink and cobalt is sold out (whomp whomp), but I posted a similar tank for you all.

What Farah Wore: Brown & Cream (2.23.15)

Tights Spanx: Reversible Black/Brown Tights
Scarf  Zara: Brown Plaid Blanket Scarf
Booties  Nine West: Cozie Booties

I love a great blanket scarf. Obviously! I have about 20-25 scarves and can not get enough! I got this dark brown one recently and love how the color comes through in this photo. I recommend a scarf to dress up any winter outfit. it really accentuates an otherwise plain outfit.

I have been trolling Amazon daily to find blanket scarves. I really recommend going on there. The quality is just a same and costs only $8-$12. Granted, it probably comes from China (since it takes 3 weeks). However, if you are willing to wait, I highly recommend.

What Farah Wore 2.19.15 - Over the Knee Boot - Review

I'm not very keen on spending a ton of money on trends. I prefer to spend my money on staples. When the over-the-knee boots trend came back (because we all know it was on trend during 2008 - Serena Van der woodsen anyone?), I went on Amazon and found these boots.

I assume they are from China. They cost about $28 and are actually pretty comfortable! For someone who has small calves, these boots actually hold up. Granted, I had to wait three weeks for them to come, and the smell from the factory gave me a headache...but once I aired these out, they were perfect! I doubt they will last forever... but do trends really do? It's a great alternative for someone who wants to be trendy but doesn't want to spend a fortune.

Pair with a mini skirt and chunky sweater (like I did) or wear it with a bodycon dress or jeans!

Brand Spotlight - Warby Parker

Real quick post today to talk about my new favorite eyeglass and sunglass brand; Warby Parker!

On a trip to NYC during Memorial Day Weekend, I stopped by the Warby Parker location in Soho and was just amazed by the quality, selection and most importantly, price of all their inventory! For about $140.00, you can get a complete pair of eyeglasses from their store or online shop (Warby Parker). Great steal and look for more than half the price of other designer (and non designer) glasses.

Also, for those who are blind as a bat as myself, the price applies to high powered prescriptions as well.
