5 Days of Fashion!

Sorry for the delay in posting outfit details. I have been so busy at work, that I just have not had the time.

My first dress is an old Lilly Pulitzer dress. I really can't find it anywhere since these prints sell out so quick. However, Lilly has some great prints for the summer. Some of the prints are a little childish for my tastes, but they have great solid colors and some more muted prints.

I absolutely love gingham prints. It's so masculine typically, so I love the shift to it being more feminine. This outfit is pretty simple. All black with a pop of light blue gingham. Wearing my favorite staple pants and wedges. I am telling you, these are the most comfortable wedges and pants I own!

I love a pop of color to any outfit! The Limited has great blazers (pink, turquoise, etc...). Great price and so versatile. My favorite part of this outfit is actually my new Kate Spade flats. I have been been looking for black flats forever!

My favorite pair of flats were my Marc by Marc Jacobs flats... of course they are discontinued (anyone from Marc Jacobs reading... BRING THEM BACK). These ones below are actually pretty comfortable thurs far. The back of my feet hurt initially, but breaking them in will help tremendously!

Coral and Navy is such a great combo! It's so nautical, which is why I decided to wear my tassel rope necklace. The outfit is pretty simple, yet so professional. J Crew Factory really brings it with petite work dresses!

New obsession for life: drapey pants. I am so obsessed! They are like wearing leggings or pajamas to work, yet still looking professional. I am on the hunt to find drapey pants from other retailers. It's just hard to find petite one (petite problems). I highly recommend these!

Festival Attire

It's festival season! Coachella kicked off this weekend and I am so jealous I have never lived close enough to attend. The gypsy, bohemian styles are so much fun... not to mention that I love to people watch!

I think the trends that have been worn in the past are still pretty relevant but I am sure there will be a lot of 70s attire and FLARED DENIM! I may be too short to pull off that trend, but if you are tall with long legs, this style is made for you.

Here are 10 trends that I think are perfect for festival season:

It's difficult (and expensive) to buy a ton of outfits for a weekend festival so I wanted to share with you three ways to jazz up one basic outfit. The key? Kimonos! I love how much a kimono can liven up an outfit when mixed in with some accessories ....and flash tattoos (I posted about flash tattoos a while back. They are just fabulous and perfect for an event like this!)

Sandals  Tory Burch: Tan Sandals (sold out - similar)
Top  Julie's: Cream Crop Top (similar)
Necklace  BP: Long Turquoise Pendant (similar)

Kimono II BP: Pink Kimono

Featured: Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace

Hey all!

Sorry for being MIA the past week. I went on a great trip to San Diego with no computer and no posts. I think some people were wondering where my maxi dress was from this week. It's actually from loft.com and 50% off! My other outfit that week is a silk tank from Nordstrom's and my Joe's boyfriend jeans. I think both are sold out, but you can definitely emulate the look pretty easily.

Today I am wearing my favorite Kendra Scott necklace. It comes in tons of colors and I am eyeing the black one next. When buying expensive jewelry ($80 is a lot for someone who likes to wear fake, cheap jewelry), I like to buy neutral colors so it matches with everything. This pearl color will look great with any colored outfit. I think it's a great statement piece for all seasons. I really don't seeing this going out of style anytime soon. If you don't like gold, this comes in silver as well.

Pastels for Spring!

Super sorry that I have been incredibly MIA! I had a small vacation to Los Angeles and was too busy enjoying the city and didn't have much to post!

It's getting so much warmer recently and my outfit reflects just that. Vince Camuto makes these amazingly comfortable caged heels which are perfect for Spring! They are actually on sale for $79.95, which I consider a steal. The heels are a casual height and can be worn around town.

I'm going back to the West Coast next week, so I can't wait to start wearing more sandals, pastels and neons!

50 Shades of Blue

Purse  Tory Burch: Robinson Tote (similar)
Earrings  Baublebar: Crystal Earrings (similar)

This may be one of my favorite outfits yet! Pastels are all the rage for spring, and I love mixing pastels colors with white. I bought this sweater on sale recently from Piperlime, and the XS fits perfectly with my petite 5'1'' frame. I really think the different shades of blue add depth to the outfit.

What Farah Wore: 2.8.15 (Spring Fever?)

Today I had a bridesmaid brunch and wanted to dress to impress, but appear casual. Distressed denim and pumps do just that! It is literally 60 degrees outside, so I thought, why not dress like Spring? I may be the only one... but I miss winter/fall already!

What Farah Wore 1.13.15 - Layer on!

I love layering during the winter months. Mainly because I hate wearing big jackets all the time with lighter clothing. My favorite is layering on turtlenecks with sweater/vest and then a light jacket on top. It's so warm, comfortable and stylish! Happy layering!
