Festival Attire

It's festival season! Coachella kicked off this weekend and I am so jealous I have never lived close enough to attend. The gypsy, bohemian styles are so much fun... not to mention that I love to people watch!

I think the trends that have been worn in the past are still pretty relevant but I am sure there will be a lot of 70s attire and FLARED DENIM! I may be too short to pull off that trend, but if you are tall with long legs, this style is made for you.

Here are 10 trends that I think are perfect for festival season:

It's difficult (and expensive) to buy a ton of outfits for a weekend festival so I wanted to share with you three ways to jazz up one basic outfit. The key? Kimonos! I love how much a kimono can liven up an outfit when mixed in with some accessories ....and flash tattoos (I posted about flash tattoos a while back. They are just fabulous and perfect for an event like this!)

Sandals  Tory Burch: Tan Sandals (sold out - similar)
Top  Julie's: Cream Crop Top (similar)
Necklace  BP: Long Turquoise Pendant (similar)
Shorts  H&M: Cuffed Denim Shorts (similar)
Kimono II BP: Pink Kimono

Fall into Spring

It may be a little early to start discussing Spring Trends (especially since it's like 10 degrees outside for some), but I figured why not? March is around the corner and everyone's mood is screaming for Spring!

As you all can see from my posts, my go to for fall are burgundy, hunter green, navy and camel colors. Obviously mixed with plaid! Although, as much as I love fall and winter, and can't let it go, it's time to start thinking Spring.

Top Spring Trends

1. Floral
2. Neon
3. Pastels
4. Light Colored Denim
5. Distressed Denim

I love a great bright colored heel and recently purchased a pair, on sale, from Barney's Warehouse in pink! I am so excited to wear these. Granted, even though I'll start wearing these now, I think it's a great transitional piece to bring you into Spring/Summer. It really adds so much depth and pizazz to an otherwise muted/neutral pallet. If a pump is too plain and ordinary for you, I'd suggest getting a great pair of heeled sandals (either caged or embellished).

My recommendation overall is to mix and match pastels, neons and florals. I feel like there is no rule against mixing patterns and colors. I'd go crazy! Pair it when a pair of colorful pant/skirt or distressed denim. If you are a little more modest with outrageous colors, etc... I would start with a pop of color (either with your shoes, jewelry, or purse).

What Farah Wore: 2.8.15 (Spring Fever?)

Today I had a bridesmaid brunch and wanted to dress to impress, but appear casual. Distressed denim and pumps do just that! It is literally 60 degrees outside, so I thought, why not dress like Spring? I may be the only one... but I miss winter/fall already!
